1 lemon skin finely grated and sliced in half
½ clove garlic microplained to very fine paste
½ tsp Chilli flakes (if your children don’t mind chilli)

PreparationPlace bean and half a lemon in a microwavable glass bowl and cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 7min
Place the bacon fat into a pan
On a medium heat add the bacon, garlic and chilli flakes
Cook for 1min and add the green beans, increase heat and cook for a further 2min or until the flavours have been well incorporated into the beans
Remove and place into a warm dish and sprinkle salt, white pepper and half of the lemon zest
